Brian Lew has been part of the County family since 2000, when he joined the Department of Public Social Services as a Public Information Officer. In 2005, he moved to the Chief Administrative Office where he is currently the Assistant Director of Public Affairs. Brian’s responsibilities include developing/implementing public relations strategies and campaigns, strategic planning, media relations, writing press materials, planning and directing special events, crisis management, arranging interviews and photo shoots for the purpose of disseminating information and promoting the positive image of the Department and the Board of Supervisors.
Prior to joining the County, Brian spent many years working as a television reporter and public relations professional. He has been a member of the Los Angeles County Asian American Employees Association since 2000. He has a Masters degree in journalism from Northwestern University, and Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism/political science from USC.
Brian lives in the Southbay with his wife and two young children. Hobbies include classic cars, spending time with the family, eating and sleeping.
