Gregg Rademacher, CPA, the Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA) Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for the strategic direction, planning, and leadership of the association. LACERA delivers defined benefit, disability and healthcare benefits to 150,000 members and is responsible for investing the $40 billion pension portfolio. He has served as the CEO since October 2006 and part of the executive team since July 1996. He has been a key factor in building LACERA’s strong culture, which has been described as collegial, creative, and open. He has spent more than a decade dedicated to producing, protecting, and providing defined retirement benefits to Los Angeles County employees.
Mr. Rademacher is actively involved in the State Association of County Retirement Systems and the California Association of Public Retirement Systems organizations and enjoys participating in their education programs as an instructor and panelist. Prior to joining LACERA, he worked in Ernst & Young’s Health Care and Non-Profit audit practice.

Cynthia Lau was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hawaii. She earned her Certification as an Employee Benefits Specialist in 2005 and is currently the Legislative Affairs Officer with LACERA. She has also held positions in the Outreach and Quality Assurance Divisions of LACERA.
