As Chief Probation Officer, Robert Taylor is
responsible for the daily operations of the
Department and for formulating a long-term
vision that will enhance administrative
services and field operations. Managing the
largest probation department in the world,
Robert Taylor oversees an annual budget of
approximately $547 million, a total of over
5,200 employees and the supervision of
approximately 60,000 adult and 20,000
juvenile probationers.

Hans Liang began his career with LA County Probation in 1998 working as a Deputy in the Asian Gang Unit. During the past 9 years he has worked in various assignments in the department including the Youth and Family Accountability Model (YFAM) program, Staff Training Office, Staff assistant to the Juvenile Consultant as well as a trainer for LARRC and Motivational Interviewing. Hans is currently assigned to the Asian Gang Unit once again where he is working on the development of after school programs aimed at reducing recidivism with gang involved minors. Hans is a member of the 123rd graduating class of the USC Delinquency Control Institute (DCI) and is currently the President of the Asian Pacific Probation Association (APPA).
