Steve has been part of the County family since
2005 joining the Intergovernmental Relations
Branch in the Chief Executive Office.
Prior to joining the County he spent a
number of years working at different levels
of State government in various departments
including the Department of Finance, Office
of the Attorney General and the California
Assembly developing specialization in public
safety, judicial, employee relations and
compensation, tribal gaming, pension, county
mandates and property tax issues. Steve
received his bachelor’s degree at the
University of California, Davis. He received
his MBA and Masters in Accounting from
California State University, Sacramento. He
has also completed executive programs in
public policy at the Kennedy School of
Government, Harvard University and the
Goldman School of Pubic Policy, University
of California, Berkeley. Most recently Steve completed a program in negotiations and mediation from the Medoza School of Business, Univeristy of Notre Dame.
