We are always looking for people interested in joining our association.

Who Can Join?

Any County employee 18 years of age or older, of good character and dedicated to the purposes of this organization, may become a member. Read Bylaws for details.

How Can You Join?

Simply complete an Association application (pdf) and submit an annual payment of dues ($60.00) or a signed payroll deduction card ($5.00 per month). An eligible applicant shall then be accepted as a member. Please contact us for more information and a copy of the application.

  • Meet County Department heads and others in senior management
  • Partake in and enjoy Association functions with others having common interests and help further our cause
  • Members' children are eligible to compete for annual college scholarships

On May 20, 2009, the Los Angeles County Asian American Employees Association (LACAAEA) organized the wonderful festivities to celebrate and recognize the countless contributions and accomplishments of Asian and Pacific Islanders in Los Angeles County. Click here for details. Click here for Video .

On May 15, 2009, California State Governor Arnold Schwazenegger sent a Proclamation to congratulate the Los Angles County Asian American Employees Association and proclaim May 2009, as "Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month.". Click here for the Proclamation.

On May 20, 2009, California State Controller John Chiang sent a warm congratulations to the Los Angles County Asian American Employees Association in celebration of Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month. Karen Chang, Special Assistant to John Chiang, presented a scroll to LACAAEA President Irene Hamada for LACAAEA as one of the premier Asian Pacific Islander American employee associations. On May 20, 2009, Melissa S. Ramoso, Field Representative for State Assemblymember Ted W. Lieu, 53rd District also presented a scroll to LACAAEA President Irene Hamada for LACAAEA's outstanding achievment.
